DRYPROOF is a ready-to-use WATERBASED WATERPROOFER formulated for waterproofing interior, exterior, above or below grade masonary surfaces. No pre-wetting necessary. Do not use on floors. This tough, alkali and mildew resistant coating may be applied on uncured concrete and on slightly damp concrete, but best results are obtained when applied to dry surfaces.
DIRECTIONS
SURFACE PREPARATION: Masonry surfaces must be clean from dirt, dust, grease, oil, frost or paint. Patch holes or cracks with hydraulic cement. Efflorescence, a white, powdery, crystal-like deposit visible on the masonry surface, must be removed. CLEAN & FREE used according to manufacturer directions is an effective efflorescence removal agent
APPLICATION: STIR THOROUGHLY. DO NOT THIN. DRYPROOF WATERBASED WATERPROOFER may be applied by brush, roller or spray. For best waterproofing results, apply the first coat with a BRUSH working the WATERPROOFER into the pores of the masonry. Two coats are recommended for porous masonry surfaces. Paint only when air and surface temperatures are 5ºC or higher.
IMPORTANT: If excessive leaking is present apply the first coat to the lower ½ of wall (area where most leaking occurs). Allow overnight drying before applying the next coat over the entire wall surface. If leaking is still present after two coats, it indicates that pores or pin holes are still open. These areas should be painted again. When painting the inside surfaces of concrete sterns, fish ponds and water tanks, allow the paint to dry thoroughly before filling with water. Clean application tools with soap and water immediately after use.
